The price of gas isn’t the only thing on the rise.. As fall draws near, hunters are anticipating a 10 to 15 percent rise in the price of ammunition because of a rise in the price of metal used in ammunition manufacturing. The shortage and the price increase may be tied with with the wars in Iraq and Afganistan. Local sporting good suppliers like Scheels have been prepared for this increase... Jeremy - We did do a good job we ordered plenty of ammo early ahead of time, so we're hoping to keep our prices the same through the majority of the season of course as we have to do re-orders closer to the season you know...fill-in orders, that price may be reflective. Jeremy says that when they *do* have to reorder, prices will be increased by 15 percent. The price of 223 ammo could go up even higher because of its poor availability.
