Dougie is a pit bull that came into the Ukiah Shelter and needed a lot of help with his fear of strangers and men. The Pit crew has worked with him for several weeks and decided to kennel him with another pitbull, Leah. They have become the best of friends and Leah has helped a lot in his process. He's learned a lot while being with her and now is a big step closer to adoption. He is very friendly with women strangers. He is still uneasy with men but we're working little by little and we're very hopeful. Many of us in the pit crew and at the shelter are happy to see this scared dog come out of his shell. Dougie and Leah are a part of our Pit Crew taken place at the Ukiah shelter on 298 Plant Road, Ukiah, CA 95482, on Wednesdays from 5-7 PM and Saturdays from 9-11 AM.
