Quimper位於法國布列塔尼(Bretagne)半島上，最富布列塔尼風情及代表的中世紀古鎮，以十三至十五世紀哥德式教堂為發展中心。Quimper原意為河流交匯點，從交匯處至教堂之間是精華的舊市區。此鎮也是法國著名的陶磁產地之一，教堂後的舊街可覓得販售的商店，古色古香的木屋外牆掛滿各式各樣的陶磁製品，非常醒目，而且也頗具廣告效果。至於陶磁製品則不僅侷限於實用的杯盤、茶壺、花瓶，踏入商店看著滿屋的陶瓷，琳瑯滿目，目不暇給，彷彿走進一家藝術館；裝飾的手繪瓷盤、可愛的動物造型、令人激賞的小提琴，唯妙唯肖，更有一些不知用途
