A Bismarck Judge says Jerome Morsette can’t have contact with his fiance' despite her request... Morsette is charged with simple assault for biting his girlfriend on the forehead. He pleaded not guilty to the crime. Morsette was recently released from prison for killing his wife in 1998. Prosecutor Pamela Nesvig says prior to the manslaughter case, Morsette had also bite his wife. Morsette's attorney Rauleigh Robinson asked the court to lift a no contact order between Morsette and his girlfriend. He says the state shouldn't decide who should have contact with whom. Morsette's fiance' also wants the order dropped. I want Jerome to be a part of my life, he's been a big part of my life, he's helped me make better decissions as far as where I'm going and I want to be married to him. Judge David Reich says he will not lift the no contact order. Nesvig says Morsette's wife had also asked for a similar order to be dropped and then a few months later she was killed. Morsette's case has been set for a September trial.
