As a special educational offering during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital will host a webcast on breast cancer treatment on Thursday, October 18 at 4:30 p.m at www.JeffersonHospital.org/webcast. Patients and physicians will have a chance to view a mastectomy with reconstruction as well as to learn about breast cancer screening and diagnosis. The previously recorded procedure was performed by accomplished surgeons, Anne L. Rosenberg, MD, Clinical Professor and Breast Surgeon at Jefferson Medical College and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Steven E. Copit, MD, Clinical Associate Professor and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Jefferson Medical College and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Rosenberg will also narrate the webcast. CME credit is available and viewers will be able to ask the physicians questions online during the 60 minute webcast.
