Kenya's Mwai Kibaki was sworn in as President of Kenya for a second term on Sunday after a tight election but Raila Odinga, his opposition challenger, accused him of stealing victory through systematic fraud in the tallying process. Riots erupted in many parts of the country immediately after the announcement. Violence continued on Monday, with at least 100 people dead, mostly in western Kenya, an Odinga stronghold. Nairobi's city center remained closed and cordoned off, as riot police prepared to prevent Odinga supporters from gathering to a city park to swear him in themselves. Images and soundbites.
