Downgrading my psp without pandora or magic memory stick

My psp has official firmware 4.01, but i want to downgrade it too official firmware 1.50 without using pandora battery or magic memory stick, this is the closest i have got to geting it working, but when the next official firmware comes out i might be able to do it. I tricked it into thinking that i was updating it to firmware 4.05 which isn't out yet. By editing the firmware on my Mac using Text edit. I tried doing this with the official firmware 1.50 but it said that the game could not be started. Does anyone have any suggestions?
