The Speaking Channel Launch Party

On July 13, 2006 (6:00pm - 8:00pm), The Speaking Channel, an internet TV network, officially launches and will be broadcasting live from its studio in New York City. The public is welcomed to be a part of the live broadcast and have their questions about speaking and communicating answered live on the air.

The Speaking Channel is an internet TV network devoted to showcasing public speaking excellence and building individual presentation skills in the following areas. 1. Business (large and small group presentations). 2. Public life (civic affairs and politics). 3. Work life (employee communication/job interviews). 3. Family/social communication (parties/networking events). The Channel will feature television programming that celebrates outstanding spoken communication and gives viewers learning tools on how to build and improve their own speaking skills.

The Speaking Channel was formed through a collaborative effort between Media Training Worldwide and TV Worldwide. Both presidents, (TJ Walker and Dave Gardy) will be hosting the broadcast on the night of the 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

TJ Walker comments, "This is an exciting time for us. Because of the rapidly growth of technology, we are capable of producing a quality TV Channel with a very specific focus on speaking. People have more choices than ever before. ESPN360 will be broadcasting all 52 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2006 online. Online viewers will see the same World Cup feed as television audiences, including sponsor messages and commercials. The games are scheduled from June 9th through July 9th and are televised from Germany. ESPN360 is free but only available through certain high speed Internet service providers such as Adelphia Communications Corp., Bend Broadband, Charter Communications Inc., Grande Communications, Mediacom Communications, Mid-Hudson Cablevision, Susquehanna Communications, US Cable, and Verizon Communications Inc., among others. Check to see if your ISP provider is an affiliate.

Quova Media will ensure that GloboEsporte.com's World Cup coverage will be accessible to online viewers only in Brazil. Subscribers can expect to pay a one-time fee between 7.90 reals (US$3.43; 2,69€) to 14.90 reals (US$6.40; 5,02€) for the entire tournament, depending on the user's connection speed.
