On July 13, 2006 (6:00pm - 8:00pm), The Speaking Channel, an internet TV network, officially launches and will be broadcasting live from its studio in New York City. The public is welcomed to be a part of the live broadcast and have their questions about speaking and communicating answered live on the air.

The Speaking Channel is an internet TV network devoted to showcasing public speaking excellence and building individual presentation skills in the following areas. 1. The Channel will feature television programming that celebrates outstanding spoken communication and gives viewers learning tools on how to build and improve their own speaking skills.

The Speaking Channel was formed through a collaborative effort between Media Training Worldwide and TV Worldwide. Both presidents, (TJ Walker and Dave Gardy) will be hosting the broadcast on the night of the 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

You too can join the millions of fans who are watching live baseball games online. MLB has created the online distribution site MLB.TV to broadcast live every out-of-market baseball game. Some people will be lucky enough to watch the FIFA World Cup 2006 online and live. Here's what we've dug up...

ESPN360 (US)
ESPN360 will be broadcasting all 52 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2006 online. Online viewers will see the same World Cup feed as television audiences, including sponsor messages and commercials. The games are scheduled from June 9th through July 9th and are televised from Germany. ESPN360 is free but only available through certain high speed Internet service providers such as Adelphia Communications Corp., Bend Broadband, Charter Communications Inc., Grande Communications, Mediacom Communications, Mid-Hudson Cablevision, Susquehanna Communications, US Cable, and Verizon Communications Inc., among others. Check to see if your ISP provider is an affiliate.

BBC Sport (UK)
The BBC will stream all of its FIFA World Cup 2006 football matches live on the Internet via the BBC Sport website. The service is only available to UK broadband users and viewers can espect to see the same coverage as terrestrial viewing. This will be the largest event the BBC has attempted to broadcast over the Internet before.

Rogers Yahoo! (Canada)
Rogers Yahoo! customers in Canada will be happy to know that they too can tune into the 2006 FIFA World Cup action online. The Rogers Yahoo! Video Player will provide users with non-stop quality highlights from the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The site claims to have "near-live" video highlights when the games begin. On a side note, Rogers Wireless will also be offering video and text highlights via phone.

Globo (Brazil)
Brazil's TV Globo has obtained territory rights to deliver live streaming video converage of the world's most watch sporting event, the 2006 World Cup soccer tournament in Germany. Beginning June 9, all 64 matches will be streamed live through the GloboEsporte.com web portal. GloboEsporte.com has deployed Quova Media for its digital rights management. Quova Media will ensure that GloboEsporte.com's World Cup coverage will be accessible to online viewers only in Brazil. Subscribers can expect to pay a one-time fee between 7.90 reals (US$3.43; 2,69€) to 14.90 reals (US$6.40; 5,02€) for the entire tournament, depending on the user's connection speed.

Sohu.com (China)
Sohu.com and SMGBB.cn have joined together to provide the FIFA World Cup 2006 online video content in China. SMGBB.cn has been granted first ever exclusive authorization from FIFA to provide broadband Internet TV content of the World Cup 2006 event in mainland China and has selected Sohu.com as its exclusive portal partner. Sohu.com will work closely with SMGBB.cn to deliver World Cup broadband Internet video and photos to Chinese Internet users and football fans.

Univision Online (US)
Univision Online has the exclusive U.S. rights to show 2006 FIFA World Cup Spanish-language, near-live video highlights for online and wireless. Hispanic soccer fans in the U.S. will have the opportunity to follow all 64 matches. Univision includes a one-of-a-kind video epicenter. Fans will be able to view free, near-live FIFA World Cup video highlights of the tournament from each of the 64 matches. Even more FIFA World Cup video coverage will be available through a broadband subscription package offering unlimited access for only $9.95.

Wimbledon LIVE (World)
Watch live tennis action from The Championships online with Wimbledon LIVE - an online subscription service provided by the Wimbledon organization offering live video coverage of all tennis matches from Centre Court, No.1 Court and up to seven other courts, as well as video on demand of recent matches and classic Wimbledon footage.

The Wimbledon 2006 starts June 26th but you can save money by paying for a Wimbledon LIVE all access pass for Internet viewing prior to then.

BBC Sport (UK)
While broadcasting the 2006 FIFA World Cup live and online, BBC Sport will also have live broadband streaming for one of the world's greatest tennis tournaments, the 2006 Wimbledon Championships starting on Monday, June, 26.

The live streaming will be available to UK broadband users and viewers will see the same coverage as BBC's live terrestrial viewing along with digital interactive feeds, latest scores and results service. Three-minute highlight packages rounding up each day's play will be available to a global audience. The service is available from BBC Sport's dedicated Wimbledon website.
