Gold Buckle Network Adds 190 Shows from BlueHighways TV to its Video Library

Gold Buckle Network (GBN) announced an agreement with Network Creative Group to add 190 BlueHighways TV programs over the first year to the GBN online Western video library. The full-length TV shows streamed by GBN to its more than 30,000 members include titles from the "American Journeys," "Due West," "Reno's Old Time Music Festival," "Heart to Heart Classics," and "America’s Backroads" series. All 190 new shows will be added to the GBN online video network throughout the year.

The agreement marks another in a series of similar agreements GBN has made with production companies and Western entertainment content providers. GBN offers the opportunity for content providers to participate in a large and growing online community of Western enthusiasts. The technology is all powered by GBN, so no burden exists for content providers wishing to participate in the online video entertainment market. In addition, GBN content is instantly available to a member base that is more than 30,000 strong and growing every day.

Upon watching the streaming videos on GBN, BlueHighways TV Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stan Hitchcock noted, "The shows look great. The quality and performance is amazing, and I really like the ability to watch in full-screen mode." Hitchcock continued, "At the higher streaming rates, I could hardly tell the difference between GBN and my satellite TV at home. It's better than anything else I've seen out there."

From the coasts to the heartland, the Snowbelt to the Deep South, BlueHighways TV offers a window into the experiences, music, neighborhoods, art, festivals and celebrations that, interwoven together, define America's vivid culture and character. Joining all of these elements, BlueHighways TV is creating a fresh, sincere and original entertainment schedule that combines new faces and places with an already-available library of hundreds of hours of original programming.

GBN adds new content to its online video library every week. All GBN content is available for streaming at multiple bitrates, from basic broadband all the way up to cable modem and fiber. At up to 1.5 megabits per second, GBN's "HD" streaming content immerses viewers in a high-quality entertainment experience, whether a the computer or linked to a TV display or digital projector. The GBN online video library currently contains nearly 300 gigabytes of movies, music videos, rodeo, bull riding, educational programs, kids' shows, Western travel segments, and other family-friendly entertainment.

"American Journeys" is a 1-hour documentary series which allows the artists and craftsmen to speak from their heart straight to the viewer without interference or interpretation. Crisscross the country meeting the people of the heartland learn first-hand what life on the working farms and ranches of America is like, go behind the scenes at art festivals and special gatherings or events, sit down with "roots" music legends, and reminisce about the years on the road...real life from across America.

In "Due West," Dan Miller takes the viewer on location to sites around the country and brings the people and lifestyle of the real West closer. From ice climbers in Montana to rodeo cowboys in Arizona, to the forts on the original western frontier of the Ohio Valley host and much more, "Due West" will become a favorite of any fan of the West.

"Reno's Old Time Music Festival" taps into the vibrant interest in Bluegrass Music, and "Heart to Heart Classics" presents traditional country songwriters performing and telling the stories behind their music.

GBN viewing requires no special hardware or software, and nothing is downloaded to the viewer's PC. The Web-based GBN video player supports full-screen viewing, enabling viewers to maximize a crisp image beyond the size of typical streaming videos. Viewers can even watch GBN on most late-model television displays using simple, inexpensive components. Registration is free at www.goldbucklenetwork.com, where you can watch, listen to, and shop for all things Western. Gold Buckle Network Adds 190 Shows from BlueHighways TV to its Video Library

here! Networks to Air Halloween Horror Programming this October

here! Networks, America's premium gay and lesbian television network, will be offering a heart-pounding mix of its quality programming this October featuring some of the hottest faces on television half-dressed and struggling to survive until the end credits. All these spooky specials lead up to the airing of four back-to-back episodes of the sexy supernatural soap opera "Dante's Cove."

October programming on here! will feature an array of films from acclaimed horror writer-director-producer David DeCoteau, including The Brotherhood IV: The Complex, the latest film in the helmer's Brotherhood franchise; The Sisterhood, where blood is the beverage of choice in a scantily-clad sorority house; Leeches!, in which the blood-sucking creatures are the new guys on campus; and Speed Demon, where hardcore bare-chested hunks grease each other's gears in order to move faster than their enemy.

"Looking at our extensive film library, we realized that we had all the makings for a really fun, frightening and eclectic festival designed specifically for the Halloween season," stated Paul Colichman, here!'s Founder and CEO.

In addition to the sexy scenes from DeCoteau, here! will be presenting Paul Etheredge-Ouzts' acclaimed HellBent, the first gay slasher flick, produced by Joseph Wolf, co-creator of horror classics Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Set during the elaborate and wildly fanciful West Hollywood Halloween Festival, and featuring authentic footage from the carnival, HellBent finds four sexy Angelinos heading out for a night surrounded by flamboyant costumes, beautiful people, drugs, music, dancing and, of course, sex. Little do they know that a cold-blooded killer has his eye set on them.

here!'s Halloween extravaganza culminates in four consecutive episodes of fan-favorite "Dante's Cove," the sexiest guilty pleasure on television. In this, the second season of the Gothic pleaser, the residents of the Hotel Dante, joined by a slew of newcomers, are forced to deal with issues brought to a boiling point at the end of season one: addiction, insanity, love, infidelity, coming out and breaking up. Add to that a dash of the occult and you have all the elements for what promises to be one of the hottest, sexiest and most suspenseful shows on TV. More information on the show and its cast can be found at www.dantescove.com.

Watch SBiTV, the Internet TV Network for and About Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara Internet Television is a new television network accessed exclusively on the web. SBiTV consists of four channels related to Santa Barbara and its lifestyle. It is designed to inform and entertain both visitors and locals. Programs cover a wide range of topics from travel and lifestyle to local events and personalities.

Santa Barbara, CA, September 20, 2006 – A new Internet television network for and about Santa Barbara launches on the web: www.SBiTV.com. Santa Barbara Internet Television has four channels with programs covering a wide range of topics about Santa Barbara and its lifestyle. Designed to appeal to both visitors and locals, three of the four SBiTV channels focus on travel, lifestyle and local information. The fourth channel is strictly entertainment.

"Internet TV and online videos are exploding into our world, much quicker than most expected," says Dave Jenkins, co-founder of SBiTV. "Since Santa Barbara is such a visually beautiful paradise, and so many people worldwide share an interest in Santa Barbara, it seemed like a natural fit for a broadband television network," says Pam Brandon, the other co-founder of SBiTV.

Unlike regular TV, an Internet TV network offers viewers the option to watch what they want, when they want it – 24/7. SBiTV programs are produced specifically for web viewing with short webisodes, mostly 1 to 5 minutes in length. "Because original SBiTV content is being created in high definition, the picture quality is excellent," says Aj DeNecochea, SBiTV producer.

Destination Santa Barbara is a travel channel where you can watch, learn, and dream about the Santa Barbara area. The Local Scene Channel covers local news, events and goings-on. SB Lifestyle Channel is all about hobbies, interests and living the Santa Barbara lifestyle–wherever you are. The Entertainment Zone offers reality, comedy, music, celebrities and more.

Programs covering many popular Santa Barbara topics include Santa Barbara Getaways, Fitness on the Beach, and Santa Barbara Wine. Two of the signature entertainment programs are Dating Style, a dating show where clothes are the matchmakers, and Street Talk, a comedian-hosted man-on-the-street program.

For additional information regarding the launch of SBiTV, contact Pam Brandon or visit www.SBiTV.com.

Anheuser-Busch to Launch Bud.TV

Anheuser-Busch will tap into the world's growing online community by launching an internet-based entertainment network -- Bud.TV -- featuring 24-hour live and on-demand programming from numerous exclusive partners such as Wild West Picture Show Productions, TriggerStreet.com, LivePlanet, SEED, @radical.media, Omelet and DDB Worldwide.

Bud.TV will engage contemporary adult consumers with a wide array of entertainment options in branded and original proprietary content including new humorous webisodes, sporting events, consumer-generated content, field news reports, celebrity interviews, music downloads and comedian vignettes. The first-of-its-kind initiative is slated to launch in February 2007, and more content providers will be announced in the coming months.

"We're always looking for new opportunities to connect with adult consumers on a more personal level," said August Busch IV, president, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. "With adults spending more time online looking for entertainment to fit their lifestyles, we believe Bud.TV will enable us to reach them in an engaging and fun way."

Bud.TV will launch as a multi-channel online network, with as many as seven channels dedicated to a variety of consumer-interest areas, including comedy, sports, news, short films, and original and mainstream programming. The network will also serve as a distribution platform for multimedia content providers showcasing new and creative material. Bud.TV's innovative desktop application will allow users to view the content in full-screen DVD quality, setting Bud.TV apart in quality and performance from other online entertainment portals.

Bud.TV will partner with Wild West Picture Show Productions in the marketing release campaign of its upcoming documentary "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show." In addition, Bud.TV will showcase short films of rising filmmakers and screen writers on Kevin Spacey's TriggerStreet.com project, along with multi-platform productions from LivePlanet -- producers of the Matt Damon-Ben Affleck fronted "Project Greenlight," the world's largest online filmmaking contest.

"Supporting TriggerStreet.com since its creation four years ago, Anheuser-Busch understands the importance of encouraging promising talent in new and innovative ways," said Spacey, Academy Award winning actor and founder of TriggerStreet.com. "With Bud.TV they are continuing on this exciting path while providing original content for the growing number of adults who seek entertainment on the Internet."

Bud.TV also will tap into existing and forthcoming projects from partners like SEED (a division of Backyard Productions), @radical.media, and Omelet for reality programming and original content.

"We saw a great opportunity to partner with several of the world's most enlightened entertainment content providers into a single, unique online network," Busch said. "As adult consumers look for more entertainment options online, Bud.TV will help redefine the boundaries of emerging media."

Anheuser-Busch tapped into the talent of its former Vice President of Creative Development Jim Schumacker to head up the new Digital Marketing team overseeing Bud.TV. Schumacker and his team report to Vice President of Global Media and Sports Marketing Tony Ponturo as the company expands its use of new media to communicate with consumers.

Anheuser-Busch is working with DDB Worldwide as the lead agency to help manage and produce Bud.TV. Rodgers/Townsend (St. Louis) is providing the interactive design for the website and desktop application, and Nine Systems (San Diego) is producing the technology and distribution platform for Bud.TV.

The Online TV and Video Explosion

Whether you call it Broadband TV, Internet TV, online TV, TV over IP, or whatever other name, one message rings loud and clear: what all these names represent is a movement that is taking off and companies are racing to ride the wave. CBS launches a 100 online channels dedicated to college sports. The NFL and Yahoo team up to broadcast NFL games live and online. AT&T announces an Internet TV subscription service. And we aren't even touching the surface on the new personal TV platforms emerging.

Carol Wilson backs up the opening statement with testimony from the VON conference, "So hot is TV over IP that it took over the opening keynote session of the VON conference, as event founder Jeff Pulver and AOL Vice Chairman Ted Leonsis devoted their speeches to what they called an explosion in Internet-based video content, including user-created videos, the untapped vault of old TV shows and other Hollywood-produced content, and video specifically produced for the Web."
