After her husband dies, a widow struggles but manages to provide for her son's (S.S. Rajendran) education to become a surgeon. When he falls in love with a patient (Vijayakumari), the girl's wealthy father objects to the match. He finally relents, but when the two marry, misunderstandings drive them apart and affect the surgeon's ability to do his job. Directed by A.C.
