In a technologically advanced world, sorcery is on the rise and threatens to turn the humans who use it into evil spirits in this anime fantasy. To protect the public against demon attacks, authorities dispatch "tactical sorcerer" Ray Otto Steinberg. But if he uses too much magic, he risks becoming one of the monsters he's trying to exterminate -- and to make matters worse, a transgression from Ray's past may jeopardize his mission.
