Young, is an extremely lovable adolescent who captures your heart with his innocence and curiosity. Judith, Alan’s unstable ex-wife is played by actress Marin Hinkle. Evelyn, played by Holland Taylor, is Charlie and Alan’s toxic mother, who holds claim to her innocence of any wrong doing. Berta, Charlie’s housekeeper, is played by actress Conchata Ferrell is outspoken, sassy and overbearing making her simply irresistible to love. Charlie’s neighbor, Rose, played by actress Melanie Lynskey, is often seen climbing up on Charlie’s deck is referred to as his friendly stalker after a one night stand with Charlie.
