Apple re-released the
Apple TV 4.4.1 update Tuesday evening with a patch that prevents earlier problems with the update. Users were reporting bricked Apple TV boxes after the initial release of the update. Apple then pulled the update and addressed the issue.
Apple TV is the Internet TV player that allows you to stream online video and other content to your television, all over HDMI. You can watch most major TV show episodes online along with major sites like YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, and much more with Apple TV.
The Apple TV 4.4.1 update is a follow-up to the major 4.4 update, which added the new AirPlay mirroring feature, which allows you to wirelessly stream what's on your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 screen to your HDTV. The update also adds support for the new Apple Photo Stream, Wall Street Journal Live, and live and on-demand games of the NHL with a NHL subscription.
The Apple TV 4.4.1 update is free and available through the Apple TV software update feature.
