The Berliner Philharmoniker (Berlin Philharmonic) was founded in 1882 and is a democratic, self-governing orchestra with 128 world class musicians. It orchestra is located in the Philharmonie in Berlin, Germany, and was voted number three of the top European Orchestras after the Vienna Philharmonic and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

On October 24, 2009, the Berlin Philharmonic present Joseph Haydn's Symphonie Nr. 88 in G major, Bela Bartok's Seven pieces for chorus and chamber orchestra, Franz List's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 1, Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dances No. 11 and No. 15, Zoltan Kodaly's Dances of Galanta.
