The Farmers Classic (formerly Countrywide Classic, Mercedes-Benz Cup, Pacific Southwest Championships, LA Tennis Open) is an ATP World Tour 250 series tennis tournament on the ATP Tour held in Los Angeles, CA, and is part of the US Open Series leading to the US Open.
Notable past champions include Roy Emerson, Arthur Ashe, Billie Jean King, Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang, and Andre Agassi.
The 2010 Farmers Classic take place July 26-August 1, 2010 and will feature a 28-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles competition. In its 84th year, the landmark Southern California ATP tournament is the longest running annual professional sporting event in Los Angeles, and offers total player compensation in excess of $1 million.
