The Commonwealth Games is the the third-largest international sport event in the world Summer Olympic Games and the Asian Games. Thousands of top athletes from members of the Commonwealth of Nations compete in many Olympic sports as well as sports that are played mainly in Commonwealth countries, such as lawn bowls, rugby sevens and netball.
The Commonwealth of Nations has currently 54 members incl.:
Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Cameroon, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Kingdom, Vanuatu, Zambia.
A total of 71 teams participate in the Games.
