DFB-Pokal
The DFB-Pokal, short for Deutscher Fußball-Bund-Pokal, is the second most important national soccer tournament in Germany, after the Deutsche Fussball Bundesliga. Every year 36 teams of the 1.Bundesliga and the 2.Bundesliga and 28 amateur teams (winners of regional football associations and top 4 teams of the 3.Bundesliga) compete for the DFB-Pokal. The winner of the DFB-Pokal also automatically qualifies for the UEFA Europa League.

FC Bayern München (Bayern Munich), followed by Werder Bremen and FC Schalke 04, has won the most  championships since 1953, when the first tournament took place.
Other teams that made it to the finals include: 1. FC Köln, Eintracht Frankfurt, 1. FC Nürnberg, Hamburger SV, VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Karlsruher SC, Borussia Dortmund, Dresdner SC, TSV 1860 München, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Rot-Weiss Essen, Schwarz-Weiß Essen, Hannover 96, VfB Leipzig, Kickers Offenbach, Bayer 05 Uerdingen.

Select games are broadcast live online.
