MotoGP, short for Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing, is part of the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix along with 125cc and 250cc (Moto2, 600cc class in 2010). Top riders from around the world compete in 18 Grands Prix held in 14 countries bringing together the world’s top motorcycle manufacturers such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Kawasaki, Aprilia and KTM. The championship is organized by commercial rights owners Dorna Sports under the supervision of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).
