NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), founded by Bill France Sr. in 1947–48, is a family-owned and operated business venture that organizes multiple auto racing sports events, including the Sprint Cup, the Nationwide Series, the Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, the NASCAR Corona Series, the Whelen Modified Tour, the Whelen All-American Series and regional racing series. NASCAR races are held on over 100 tracks in 39 states in the United States and in Canada.
