Netflix finally released an Android application today that full supports tablets running the Honeycomb-powered Android 3.x operating system. The new app also allows Netflix members in Canada and Latin America instantly watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix on their Android-powered smartphones and tablets.

The new Netflix Android App adds Android 3.x-powered tablets to the list of Android devices supported by Netflix in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. The updated app version is 1.5 and is available in the Android Market as a free download.

Netflix members can instantly watch unlimited TV episodes and movies streaming over the Internet to many devices including PCs, Macs, Internet-connected TVs, game consoles, Blu-ray disc players, tablets, and mobile devices.
