The X Games consist of two annual events, the Winter X Games held in January/February in Aspen, CO, and the Summer X Games held in July/August in Los Angeles, CA. The Winter X Games attract the greatest winter action sport athletes from around the world and contain competitions in skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. The Summer X Games contain competitions with day and evening events incl. Moto X (Racing, Step Up, Supermoto, Freestyle, and Best Trick), Skateboarding (Big Air, Vert, Street and Street Best Trick), BMX (Big Air, Park, Vert), Surfing, and Rallying. Athletes compete for bronze, silver, and gold medals, as well as prize dollars.
